Photography is one of my passions. I did not realize it over night. Ever since I can remember I loved cameras and enjoyed taking pictures. However, my parents hated with a passion to be in pictures or even take pictures. Therefore, we did not have a camera growing up. I still don't understand why they feel so strongly about it. I used to pester and nag at my parents for a camera. However, that did not work. My dad always said it was a waste of money and somehow changed the topic! On my very first mission trip to Honduras , I discovered the joy of taking pictures. When I had enough money saved up I bought a Kodak camera and enjoyed every minute of it! Around that time a couple that I knew was getting married. I wanted to get the couple a gift that was unique and special to them and fun for me. I was on a limited income at that time. Since I already had the camera, it was pretty inexpensive to take pictures and make a scrapbook. I had a photo shoot session with them a few days before their wedding! During that photo shoot I realized that I was in love with photography! I loved capturing the beauty of God's creation.
I got so many compliments on my photography skills and everyone in my life including my family was surprised that I had and eye for certain details. I got to take pictures of more couples and loved it. In fact, my family encouraged me and helped me get a Canon EOS Rebel X SLR digital. I had so much fun with that camera. Here are a few of the pictures I have taken over the course of years.
